Welcome to Classic Musical Instrument Company, where your musical needs are our top priority. I have loved music my entire life, and enjoy sharing my passion with my customers. For the last 45 years, I have been tuning and servicing pianos in the greater Philadelphia and surrounding Delaware Valley areas. I am proud to have earned the prestigious title of Certified Installer, in April 2013, from Dampp Chaser Products. I am qualified to sell, install and service these humidity control systems. For anyone who owns a Pianocorder digital player unit, I am also a registered technician, qualified to service these units. Parts are still available for all Pianocorder units and I can upgrade your unit to operate from your computer, most any musical device or your smartphone. See my videos for demonstrations of several features available using the upgrade system.

The difference between "A" & "G" rolls:
"A" rolls are for piano and one auxilliary instrument (pipes or xylophone usually).
"G" rolls were for piano and up to three auxilliary instruments (pipes, xylophone, accordian, etc.) with snare and bass drums, castanets, cymbal, triangle, wood block & tambourine.
Both roll styles had automatic mandolin rail operation, to give that honky tonk sound. These piano arrangements were transcribed by Art Reblitz. Rolls can be purchased here or directly from Johnny's Music Rolls of Sutter Creek, CA 95685.
To hear the original "G" roll rendition of CRIPES, an original rag composed by Tom Brier, see the video to the right. Played on a Seeburg "G" Orchestrion with flute/violin pipes. Piano rolls are available from Johnny's Music Rolls.
ATTENTION PIANOCORDER OWNERS:
There is now a new group on Facebook especially for Pianocorder owners and enthusiasts. If you would like to join, please contact me here at CMI; Ed Parker or Mark Fontana at the site. Click on the button to go directly to the site.

I found this on Twitter - If I were to design my own music store building, this is what it would look like. A grand piano, with a violin as an entrance. This building DOES exist in Australia.

04/29/2015 The Sweeper Sound Board Cleaner
Robert, It did indeed arrive on time. I specifically sought out this particular sound board cleaner as I have a full perimeter plate Mason Hamlin and was concerned about easy access. It worked quite nicely and I now have a dust free sound board.

Do you still have one of these on your Pianocorder ?
If your unit does not function, or plays poorly, this unit is probably the cause of most malfunctions. The Pianocorder is a 37+ year old device. Magnetic tapes have a definite shelf life. As they age, cassette pads lose their grip on the brass pressure pad holder, the tape can stretch and become distorted in playback, and splices can come apart due to the adhesive drying out. The tapes also lose their magnetic holding capabilities. For the price of what it would cost to replace this tape deck, you can UPGRADE your system to today's modern standards. The best news is, you can probably do this yourself. If you can handle a few basic hand tools, you can make the upgrade yourself, in about 15 to 20 minutes. If you are still using the tape deck, you are missing HALF of the functions your Pianocorder is able to do for you. Check out the ensemble feature. It will only function if you update your system. And it will increase the value of your system. With one of these kits, you will be able to download and play digital music from the internet (most of which is free). The kits come with all the hardware needed for installation, complete installation/owner/operator's instructions, e-mail/telephone assistance PLUS access to the digital Pianocorder library files. And, you don't need a computer to play your piano. You can use your smart phone, Ipod, Ipad or tablet. Call or e-mail us for additional information or if you have any questions . Shipping is included in the price. If you pay by check, cash or money order in USD, you may deduct $10.00 off the prices below as a Thank You for reducing the payment processing expenses.
Standard Pianocorder Upgrade Kit Includes Pianocorder Audio Interface Cable, illustrated installation and usage instructions, Pianocorder cassette library backup files, and installation/usage support by phone and email. Shipping is free! Wireless Pianocorder Upgrade Kit Includes everything the Standard kit does plus the Logitech Bluetooth adapter for wireless streaming to the Pianocorder. Ensure that your computer or mobile device is equipped with Bluetooth before ordering. Shipping is free !!! If you are purchasing a Wireless Kit outside North America, I recommend that you purchase the Standard kit here, then purchase the Logitech Bluetooth Receiver locally from Amazon or a similar local retailer. This will ensure that you receive a unit with the appropriate power adapter for your country.
Purchase Availability: In stock for immediate shipping. Order online by credit card using the PayPal links below, or take $10 off the prices above if you pay by check, money order, or cash in U.S. dollars, as a thank-you for reducing my payment processing expenses. Contact me for the payment address. Demonstrations and local pickup are available in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.
The video below is of my own Pianocorder, utilizing the wireless version of the upgrade. I am demonstrating the ensemble feature, which utilizes the live Pianocorder with regular audio music, played together. The name of the song is "Sock Hop", a Jerry Lee Lewis style of playing. This was a rescue piano, and the current tuning is the same when we had the piano delivered. Click the PIANO ADOPTION button above for more information. Also watch for more videos to come, demonstrating this unique feature. I will be uploading some new files very soon. Click on the PIANOCORDER button above to see how this piano came about.
UPDATE: October 2016
I have just completed some new videos with the sustain pedal upgrade. They will be posted here as soon as they are ready. I am really impressed with the difference in the improved performance of the original Pianocorder's sustain qualities. I am also creating a "how to" video for those interested in making this easy upgrade.
